The COCC Board of Directors has approved five new Assistant Vice President promotions effective July 1, 2022. Please join us in congratulating these leaders on their well-deserved promotions to the COCC Officer Team.

Karen Archer

Assistant Vice President

Karen has contributed greatly to COCC’s success in various roles held over her lengthy career. Ten years ago, she returned to COCC as a Loans Analyst before moving into the role as Product Manager of the newly formed Lending Solutions team. It is in this most recent role that Karen assumed the lead in assembling a new team and building a product line around COCC’s offering of the Encompass mortgage origination system. Karen consistently demonstrates a strong commitment as a customer advocate while representing COCC in the best possible manner. But her greatest accomplishment may be seen in the effectiveness of her team. Karen works closely with the group, and together they ensure our clients have an optimal experience. Karen will continue to lead the Lending Solutions team while reporting directly to Matt L’Heureux.

Laura McGuffie

Assistant Vice President

Laura joined COCC in 2014 managing our Office Services team. Over the past eight years, Laura has been pivotal with ensuring our overall workplace services initiatives have remained top notch. She has been responsible for implementing new employee perks and managing our growing workplace sites as well as ensuring our employees are supported no matter where they are located. Her teams today are responsible for a multitude of employee services and corporate communications as well as a number of workplace surveys. Laura has continued to be instrumental to ensuring COCC remains an employer of choice while developing new workplace strategies that meet the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s workforce. Laura will continue to report directly to Lisa Jacobi.

Robert Pinto

Assistant Vice President

Robert Pinto joined COCC in 2014 assisting in Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery. Since that time, Bob has risen to oversee all of COCC’s BCP/DR efforts, which has included seven annual DR tests, coordinating COCC’s COVID-19 corporate response throughout the pandemic and also managing our colocation service offering. In addition to his primary role, Bob serves as COCC’s regulatory liaison, managing the relationship with our numerous regulatory agencies and facilitating examinations. Bob will continue to report to Jamie Perry.

Karen Porter

Assistant Vice President

Over the last 24+ years, Karen has filled a number of positions as part of, or in support of, our Check Processing Operations. During that time she has been a shift leader, a project manager, Senior Platform Analyst, a supervisor, and a manager (in addition to other roles). Currently she is an IP Support Manager for Product, Project & Client Services. In this role, she has distinguished herself through high-quality support of our production environment, gaining client appreciation for leading our support efforts for Peoples United Bank and spearheading our vendor support efforts with Computershare. Most recently many of you have seen her lead our initial migration from the in-house Item Processing platform to the FIS Hosted ASP solution that will be our future. Karen will continue to report to Deana Wyse.

Annette Ruchwa

Assistant Vice President

Annette joined COCC in 2012 as a Human Resources Specialist administering our benefits programs. Over the past 10 years, Annette has been at the forefront of ensuring our overall benefits and wellness strategy not only remains competitive but truly sets us apart as a key ingredient to our employees’ overall work experience. Under Annette’s leadership, COCC has earned the distinction of a top wellbeing award recipient for three consecutive years by Cigna. Today, Annette is responsible for leading our People Success teams, which are responsible for our compensation, benefits, wellness, and overall employee relations. Beyond the operations of these teams, Annette will continue to be responsible for growing our future people strategies to ensure we are rewarding and retaining our most precious asset: our COCC staff. Annette will continue reporting directly to Lisa Jacobi.
