September 23, 2016 (Southington, Conn.) – For the sixth year in a row, COCC has been named a Top Workplace in Connecticut by the Hartford Courant’s Top Workplaces program. For the second year, COCC has also been honored with the special designation “Most Clued-In Senior Management,” which recognizes how “senior managers understand what is really happening at this company.” Named as part of the “Super Seven,” COCC is one of only seven companies to have received a Top Workplaces honor for all six years since the program’s inception in 2011. On Sunday, September 18, the Hartford Courant published “The Hartford Courant Top Workplaces,” a list of the best places to work in the Greater Hartford region, which highlights all of this year’s winners.
The evaluation for the Top Workplaces program is based upon feedback from an employee survey conducted in March and April by WorkplaceDynamics, a Pennsylvania firm that develops the measurements. The survey polls employees on quality of management and leadership, employees’ confidence in the company’s strategic direction, communication and ethics of the employers and training, appreciation, flexibility and benefits for employees.
This year, 345 COCC employees responded to the survey, which accounts for a record-breaking 86% of the company’s total employee base. With only 61 companies selected from nearly 1,000 nominees across Connecticut, the Top Workplaces honor is highly exclusive and sets COCC apart as an employer of choice.
“This award continues to enhance our growing brand while attracting top-tier talent year after year,” said Richard A. Leone, President & CEO of COCC. “We can state confidently that we are truly an amazing place to work, and we are deeply honored to be recognized yet again this year.”
