COCC Employees’ Teamwork Brings Joy to Local Children

COCC Employees’ Teamwork Brings Joy to Local Children

On Wednesday, May 24, 20 employees participated in a special team-building activity at COCC. We welcomed back Roy Charette from Training Path, LLC, who facilitated an interactive team-building session in our Southington headquarters. Through a variety of hands-on activities, employees worked together to complete tasks, achieve goals, and deliver a finished product. The finished product included seven Red Steel Radio Flyer Wagons with over 20 handmade stuffed animals.

This session is a continuation of an ongoing team-building initiative at COCC that encourages employees to work together, regardless of department, position, or tenure. It combines communication, collaboration, and a little bit of mechanical ability to complete this fun challenge.

This is a win-win relationship between COCC and our local communities. The wagons and their stuffed animal passengers were donated to Growing Tree Learning Center, a nonprofit organization that supports inner city children through the YWCA.

According to one COCC employee who participated, “It was really impressive to see how quickly we came together as a team, regardless of being from different areas of the company. I am really looking forward to future events like this!”
