Our Taskforce

Our Taskforce is committed to advancing the value of DEIB at COCC. We continuously review our policies, metrics, and employee feedback to identify areas for improvement, while providing training and education to ultimately promote a fair, equitable and inclusive workplace for all our employees.

Our Goals

Provide resources to employees on matters regarding diversity, equity and inclusion within our community.

Create awareness through education, training, conversations and programs open to everyone.

Provide a welcoming environment so all employees are comfortable being themselves at work, supporting our culture of collaboration.

Create equitable policies and to ensure access to opportunity for all, particularly those from marginalized groups and identities.

Improve representation of our emerging majority population at both employee and leadership level through equitable and fair hiring practices and development programs.

Employees Speak Out on Belonging & Inclusivity at COCC

COCC grants you respect and trust as an individual in any position they give you. You honestly feel like a valued employee and know your work is contributing to the success of the company.

My manager will set aside time all hours of the day to listen to our concerns and does not judge.

My viewpoints are heard, I am respected, cared for, and given the tools to succeed.

I have a sense of belonging here – I can be myself and I’m appreciated for it.

Community Involvement

At COCC, we are passionate about supporting organizations in our local communities through our corporate giving, volunteering, and community investment initiatives. Our programs encourage and support employees in their personal philanthropy and charitable giving so that they can help the causes closest to their hearts.

COCC offers up to two paid community service days per year for employees to come together and participate in community service events and activities, such as building houses with Habit for Humanity and coordinating food drives for Bread for Life.

Charitable giving is also an important part of our culture and community through:

  • Corporate charitable matching
  • Monthly payroll contribution to charitable causes that align with monthly observances and local organizations

Our ERGs are also passionate about creating opportunities to serve our communities. From turkey drives to Pride events and beyond, our ERGs commit to holding at least one community service event at an organization of their choosing per year.
