For the fifth year in a row, COCC has been recognized as a Top Workplace by the Hartford Courant. In addition, COCC’s President & CEO Richard A. Leone has been honored as the Top Leader (midsized employer) by the Hartford Courant’s 2015 Top Workplace Program.
COCC’s continued recognition as an employer of choice has much to do with its longtime leader, Richard Leone. The Top Leader award is the highest honor presented to CEOs of the nominated companies. Mr. Leone’s passion for developing a great workplace, fostering personal connections at all levels of our organization and his willingness to listen and share his vision have earned him this top honor. For over 13 years, Mr. Leone has worked to develop a unique workplace culture and cultivate a dedicated and motivated workforce. His success in these areas has directly led to COCC being recognized for numerous workplace awards in recent years. An average tenure of almost 10 years for our employee base shows the type of commitment that COCC employees have for the company and the leader of the organization.
In addition to this prestigious honor, COCC moved into third place this year in the midsized company (150-499 employees) division, moving up three places from 2014. Plus, COCC was recognized as one of the “Notable Nine,” nine companies which have placed on the Top Workplaces list for five years in a row.
The evaluation for the Top Workplaces program is based entirely upon feedback from an employee survey. The Top Workplaces honor is exclusive – only 60 companies were chosen from across the region. The fact that COCC has continued to place on the list for five years running is a testament to COCC’s status as a workplace of choice in Connecticut.
